New Nikon D850 DSLR Sets New Levels For Quality and Performance!
Nikon's new D850 DSLR looks to be one of the best new cameras for underwater photography announced for some time. Not just a minor tweak to an existing model, the D850 reinvents full-frame action photography and video.
At the heart of the D850 is a back-side illuminated FX-format CMOS image sensor with 45.7 megapixels and no optical low-pass filter. A marvel of ingenuity, it achieves extraordinary image quality, enhanced light gathering efficiency, faster data readout and truer color.
Upgraded processing allows the D850 to fire at 7 frames per second, with a large 51 shot Raw buffer for fast action captures. Other impressive features include a low base ISO 64 (great for sunballs), a Multi-CAM 20K focus system with 153 focus points for -4ev low-light focusing, and a large .75x Magnification optical viewfinder. The D850 also offers 4K video capture from the entire sensor width (not cropped) at up to 30 frames per second, and slow motion at up to 120 fps at 1080p.
